About
We want you to pay a fair price at the pump.
Gazo is a small app made in Quebec, with one idea: show you where gas costs the least around you, with prices whose source you know.
Why Gazo
The price of gas changes from one street to the next.
Two stations five minutes apart don't always post the same price, and on a full tank the gap shows right away. The problem: to find out, you had to drive around.
Since April 1, 2026, Quebec stations report their prices in real time to the Régie de l'énergie. Gazo turns that public data into a simple list, sorted by price, with a button to get there.
Elsewhere in Canada, we're building the same thing with the community: every price confirmed at the pump helps the next driver.
- 12,797 gas stations tracked across Canada
- 2,461 Quebec stations with their official price
- 13 provinces and territories covered
Our rules
What we will never do
-
Make up a price
Every price shows its source and its age. When we don't have a real price, we say so, and the area's official estimate is labelled as such.
-
Sell the ranking
No station can pay to move up the list. A partner gets a badge and a richer listing, never a better rank.
-
Sell your location
Your location is used to find nearby stations, then forgotten. No account, no profile, no resale of data.
-
Drown you in ads
Never full-screen ads, never when the app opens. The free version shows a banner and ads labelled “Sponsored”. Gazo+ removes them all.
Our sources
Where the data comes from
Gazo combines official public data with reports from its users. Here they are, with what each one is worth.
Régie de l'énergie du Québec
Prices reported by every Quebec station, published as open data and read by Gazo every two minutes.
The drivers who use Gazo
Prices seen at the pump, reported or confirmed in the app. A report older than 72 hours is no longer treated as a real price.
Government of Ontario
Weekly fuel price survey in 14 Ontario markets, published every Monday. Used as an estimate for Ontario stations without a reported price.
Statistics Canada
Monthly average retail prices by city (Table 18-10-0001-01), used as an estimate in the other provinces and territories.
Maritime provinces' regulators
Regulated maximum prices in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, by zone.
