Terms of use

These terms govern the use of the Gazo app, the Gazo+ subscription and the website, operated by VSP TECH. By using Gazo, you accept them.
1. The service
Gazo shows the gas stations around you and fuel prices, and lets you start directions to a station in a third-party navigation app. The app is free and funded by ads; the Gazo+ subscription is optional.
2. Price accuracy
Prices come from official sources (Régie de l'énergie in Quebec), user reports or official area estimates, always identified as such with their date. Prices can change at any time and may be inaccurate: the price displayed at the pump prevails. Gazo does not guarantee fuel availability or the price paid.
3. Your reports
By reporting or confirming a price, you state that you saw it in good faith and you grant VSP TECH a free, worldwide, perpetual licence to display, combine and distribute it in the service. False, automated or abusive reports are prohibited and may be rejected or blocked.
4. Road safety
Do not use Gazo while driving. Obey traffic laws and signs: directions from the navigation app are provided by a third party and do not replace your judgment.
5. Gazo+
Gazo+ is a monthly or yearly subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play, at the price shown before purchase. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before, in your Apple or Google account settings. Payment, renewal and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. Gazo+ removes ads and unlocks price alerts, unlimited favourites and 30-day price history.
6. Ads and commercial links
The free version shows clearly identified ads. The “Save more” section shows commercial links; VSP TECH may receive a commission. No station can pay to rank higher: price ranking depends only on price.
7. Partner stations
Operators can claim their station and subscribe to a partner plan from the portal. These accounts are subject to specific terms presented at sign-up. A partner is responsible for the information and prices it publishes.
8. Intellectual property and third-party data
The app, its name, logo and content belong to VSP TECH. Station data outside Quebec comes from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence); Quebec prices come from the Régie de l'énergie du Québec open data.
9. Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, VSP TECH is not liable for indirect damages related to the use of the app, an inaccurate price, a service interruption or third-party services (navigation, stores, ads). Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.
10. Changes and governing law
We may change these terms; the current version is posted on this page. They are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. To reach us: [email protected].
